Colourpoints in comparison
O.Mironova compared Neva Masquerade cats with other colour-pointed cats – Rag Dolls and Sacred Birmans (I guess I don’t have to translate their standards for you). She wrote this in the magazine Droug in year 1996. I’ll translate the standard of Neva Masquerade cat since I found it different from existing Siberian cats standards (I’m trying to follow exact wording):

Type: firm, massive. Males are bigger than females.

Head: Big and medium size. It is short, blunt triangular with rounded lines. Skull is moderately rounded. Nose is long, straight, and wide, without break. A slight sagging is allowed. Length of the nose is twice the width. Skulls are low. Cheeks are full. Chin is wide, but doesn’t go forward much. Muzzle is rounded.

Eyes: big and medium size, rounded, widely set, colour is bright blue.

Ears: medium in size, wide at the basement, slightly bent forward, widely spread – more than a width of one ear at the basement. Outer line of the ear is vertical. Tops are fluffed with tassels and brushes.

Body: neck is short and strong. Body is big, compact, and massive. Muscles are relief. Legs are strong, not long. Paws are round, big, with bunches of fur between toes.

Tail: long and medium length. It is wide at the basement; not sharp. Well fluffed.

Fur: It is long everywhere, little shorted on shoulders. Upper coat is hard, shiny, closefitting, falling down on the sides and tail. There is double undercoat, amount depends on the season.

All range of colour-point colours is accepted, including colour-point with white.
